Mekvabishvili Giorgi
Giorgi Mekvabishbili is based in Batumi ,Georgia. Art was the continuous research untill he suddenly came across Matisse in the Chapel of the Rosary in Vence. On behalf of the artist expression- volumetric image was not necessary to convey an emotion, in the contrary Giorgi was looking for answers in the works of modern Spanish minimalists - Pijuan, Kasamada, Mompo. Georgian motifs first conceived as separate series, later turned into a full, minimalistic independent format full of Georgian culture, life and tradition.
